Chives

Chives- Especially used as a condiment for fish, potatoes, salads, sauces and soups, Chives are reliable insect-repellants as well. Its flowers can also be used as garnish.

Chinese Chives - Also known as kuchai, Chinese Chives are widely used in Chinese and Korean cuisines. The leaves and the flower stalks are used as flavoring or as a stir fry ingredient; while leaves and young inflorescences, with its mild garlicky taste and smell, are used as seasoning. It may be eaten fresh or after being blanched. Rich in Vitamin C and Carotene, some protein, fat, carbohydrates and fiber, Chives are known to treat intestinal disorders and tumors. Its seeds can be used to cure toothaches.
