Patola Prado Ace- Patola (Luffa sp.) is best grown with trellis to support vines that bear fruits and avoid contact of fruits into the ground. It is a good source of Vitamin A, Potassium, Calcium and Iron. The fruits are best harvested with a sharp knife, leaving about 5 cm of the fruit stalk in which the flesh is used for making soup. However, if the fruits are left mature on the vines, shell is brown and you hear sound of seeds when shaken, it can already be used as sponge.
